For small businesses, the median insured cyber loss was approximately $38,000, but the most severe 2.5% of claims exceeded $1 million and 7% of annual revenue.
Ransomware generated 39% of small business claims and 64% of their total cyber costs, while business email compromise generated 19% of claims.
